Portland Transportation Options
CarSharing/Flexcar

What is CarSharing/Flexcar?  Instead of owning a car or maintaining a second car, drivers in the Portland and Seattle area can join Flexcar. Members reserve one of dozens of vehicles located all around Portland anytime by phone, for a full day, half day or just an hour. You pay by the hour and by the mile.  Click here for more information about this innovative alternative to car ownership .

"My car was the most stressful part of my life," says Chris Quinn. "Hassle-free reasons were a big factor in my decision to join CarShare (now Flexcar). But I also didn't like to be a polluter."

"It's cheaper to have a share car for your second car," says participant Gary Hood.
